Lives Matter

Great-grandmother with newborn babyNot just black lives. Or aging lives. Or unborn lives.

All lives matter.

Are you appalled by the videos that exposed Planned Parenthood profiting from the killing of unborn children?

Concerned about an expanding “Culture of Death” in which euthanasia of the terminally ill, the elderly, or the disabled is being touted as a compassionate medical procedure?

Worried about the whispers of future rationed health care for the elderly?

Saddened by the guilt many among us bear after participating in life-denying practices?

So are we.

That’s why we invite you to join us in wielding one of the most potent tools for change that’s available to people who value human life: Prayer.

Join us on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. for the annual Prayer for Life and Healing Service. Following the service, a meal will be provided; a free-will offering will support Choices Pregnancy Center’s life-affirming work. This year’s service will be held at Cornerstone Christian Church, 241 E. Third Street, in Redwood Falls. People of all faiths are welcome to contemplate and pray about the life-threatening issues facing us today—issues that rob individuals of their most basic right: the right to life.

2016 Prayer Service for Life and Healing

When he established National Sanctity of Human Life Day, President Ronald Reagan expressed sorrow over what our country has lost since abortion was legalized:

“We are poorer not simply for lives not led and for contributions not made, but also for the erosion of our sense of the worth and dignity of every individual. To diminish the value of one category of human life is to diminish us all.

Slavery, which treated Blacks as something less than human, to be bought and sold if convenient, cheapened human life and mocked our dedication to the freedom and equality of all men and women. Can we say that abortion — which treats the unborn as something less than human, to be destroyed if convenient — will be less corrosive to the values we hold dear?”

Don’t sit still while your values corrode.

Change things.

Pray.
